My Cutie-Pie

I took these this morning--he's such a cutie-pie. So smiley and I love the clean baby smell. I can't believe that he's almost 9 months now--and he's really trying to crawl. As my sister said..."Time is flying, and I don't appreciate it!" I feel the same.

When Grandma Comes

Grandma Mac has come for a visit. Jim had an opportunity to go visit with his brothers in California--and play a little bit. So, Grandma Mac graciously came to keep me company and help me with the kids on this big weekend--I was in charge of the Primary Program for our ward--wrote it and all that fun stuff--and I even ended up needing to play the piano after our 3rd pianist had to leave town for a family crisis. Anyhow...we've been having a really nice visit and the kids are really having fun while Grandma is here. Against my better advice, she even decided to get on the trampoline with the kids after Rory's constant asking "jump on the trampoline with me?" They had fun! Thanks for coming Grandma, and for your love and help!

And Now....Bryce!

We got Bryce's Kindergarten picture back today, and he is looks so handsome! I don't know why I get so extremely excited when school pictures get back, but it is fun fun fun! To see my children's progress--it warms my heart.

Bryce is LOVING Kindergarten, and doing SO well. He comes home every day and says he got a "green day"--meaning good behavior. He's having fun learning and when I ask what his favorite part of school is, he says "recces"--he's a kid, and a boy through-and-through.

Bryce has begun a more advance gymnastics--he's been taking it for about 3 years now--and they are giving him a good workout. He's also begun swim lessons twice a week--the boy is busy! We sure do love him.

In the air...

Fall is definitely in the air here. It is 66 right now and it feels fabulous. I turned off the AC and opened up my windows and sliding door (this would make my mother happy--she's always telling me fresh air is much healthier--and I agree). I love the fresh air and cool breeze. I'm sure we'll have a couple of more days in the high 80's--maybe...but for now, I'm feeling nostalgic for fall. I'm looking forward to Halloween and Thanksgiving time--though I'll miss not having family here to celebrate it with us...maybe some of them will come out to be with us? --That would be nice. For now, I'm enjoying the weather.

Dress Up!

Grandma Mac has outdone herself again....we got this beautiful gown in the mail today and it really lit up Isabel's day. She had just received an invitation to a birthday party that she new she was going to be invited to. Unfortunately...the party is on a Sunday and since that is our Sabbath day, we don't go to parties. She was rather sad, but made this decision on her own. We had several tears, but then we opened up the package from Grandparents Mac. Hooray! They saved her day. She quickly tried on the dress and tears became elegant smiles....she felt pretty and special...pretty special...and she is!
Thank you so much Grandma for all your hard work and love.

A little MAN

This was so funny...we put Kyle down on the bed to sleep and coming back a few minutes later, he had rolled over and had the remote control in his hand. Jim and I were laughing--a little man in the making--already passing out with the TV remote in his hand!

Ky Ky

Yesterday, I put an outfit on Kyle--and this was the first time he looked like a big boy...not such a baby...the jean and shirt are really cute, but I'm just used to him being in a more "baby" outfit. No big deal really, but my heart lurched a little bit--knowing he's growing up and that he is (almost for sure) my last baby. It's amazing to me to see him growing and getting to each new milestone in his little baby life--sitting up on his own, trying to crawl, zooming around the kitchen in his walker, eating baby food. As much work as the baby stage is, I'm not sure I want to say goodbye to it just yet. Goodbye forever to the baby stage?!--can't answer that for sure yet, but I can try to enjoy this time as much as possible.

Labor Day Fun

Rory would swing ALL DAY if you let him...he loves it! Ky was content to watch the festivities...now sitting up on his own in the stroller!
Bryce is really proud of himself....he can swing all by himself...no pushes needed!
Isabel took some shots with Dad.

We had an enjoyable Labor Day. We didn't do anything spectacular, but we did have a nice picnic at the park and played for a while. It was fun just to be together.
