Baptism

Well, it is done! Isabel was baptized this past weekend. I can hardly believe that she has hit this milestone in her life....and in my life too. My first child has been baptized.

We went to Utah where both sides of our family are at. Isabel and her cousin Jorma (pronounced Your-Mah) have been close since birth. They are only 3 months apart and it has been fun for my sister and I to have them go through life experiencing the same things at the same time. How fitting it was to have a double baptism.

The baptism was so nice. Simple and sweet, and over too soon. They were also confirmed there with all our family present. The open house following was so nice. We had 55 people there at my parents' home. It was nice, a bit crowded--but happy. I was honored that so many people came...friends and family that have known either Jim or I most of our lives. Thank you for coming those of you who did.

My mother made Isabel's baptism dress and it is so sweet, beautiful and one of a kind. It was a special day for all of us.

Wow! You better learn how to hold a good grip--those boys will be wanting to grap her! Good thing Jim is a hunter--has a gun!! :) She is absolutely beautiful! How fun to be able to live close enough that you can enjoy your special day with family. We are excited for Sam's big day in August. We will be doing it in Kansas---unfortunately not too many family members will be there. :( Got to love your Utah visits---going to your special places you miss!
